LoyaltyPlus signs Drukair to cloud-based loyalty solution

Drukair, the national airline of the Kingdom of Bhutan has chosen South Africa-based LoyaltyPlus in a direct relationship for continuation of its loyalty services through migration to a new passenger services solutions (PSS) provider in 2021.

The agreement builds on the current relationship which has seen the team at Drukair and LoyaltyPlus working closely together for development of the HappinesSMiles loyalty programme and integration with other systems to deliver a seamless Loyalty experience for members.

“It is because of the good working relationship and the quality service provided which led to this decision” said Tandi Wangchuk, CEO, Drukair. “We look forward to the same LoyaltyPlus support for years to come and with this direct relationship we can continue to add value to our HapinesSMiles programme and grow our airline.”

Len Lubbe, CEO, LoyaltyPlus, said: “We are proud to partner directly with Drukair to provide much more than a cost effective and scalable solution; the key to our on-going success with their team is the close relationship and shared objectives to grow our businesses.”

Work starts immediately on LoyaltyPlus’ fourth PSS integration with cutover expected in the first quarter 2021. Retaining the LoyaltyPlus solution, with changes confined to the back end PSS interfaces, ensures a smooth transition for HapinesSMiles members and Drukair’s most valuable customers.

Drukair is a Royal Government of Bhutan owned airline run by the Investment Wing, Druk Holding and Investments Ltd. It operates a scheduled network within the South Asian region from its Head Quarter at Paro, 60 minutes’ drive away from the capital, Thimphu. It operates nine aircraft to nine destinations in the region and beyond.

LoyaltyPlus is based in Centurion, South Africa with marketing and support offices in the EU via a VAR agreement with Loyalty Software Systems (LSS) based in Ljubljana and its data centre in London UK providing Loyalty and CRM solutions to the airline, hotel and retail markets, with clients in Europe, Asia, Africa and around the globe.
