Oracle Belgium celebrates opening of its new Cloud eXperience Center

Oracle Belgium has opened its new Cloud eXperience Center. Alexander De Croo, Minister of Digital Agenda, officially inaugurated the Cloud eXperience Center in the presence of Oracle customers and partners. After the inauguration and networking reception, all guests were invited to visit the Cloud eXperience Center, where they experienced innovative technology and discussed how digital transformation affects organisations.

The Cloud eXperience Center is an innovative place where visionary business and technology experts inspire you. Where you can experience promising, upcoming technologies that are run on the cloud. Blockchain, chatbots, machine learning and artificial intelligence are just a few examples of such technologies.

Jan Ronsse, Managing Director Oracle Belgium & Luxembourg, explained the philosophy behind the Cloud eXperience Center: “Everyone is talking about new technologies. But it is not always easy to understand the impact, even though some have been around now for several years. The reason everyone is talking about new technologies today is that we now have such vast amounts of data, that smart computers are needed to process all that data. Here, the benefits of artificial intelligence come to the surface. Another example are the cryptocurrencies as an application domain of blockchain. By showing our visitors how technologies can be applied, Oracle demonstrates their potential and companies can then use them to their advantage. I look forward to welcoming new technologies to our Cloud eXperience Center.”

Alexander De Croo, Minister of Digital Agenda, said: “In a rapidly evolving digital world, the expectations of customers about how they want to interact with businesses and how they want to access information are changing. The physical meeting is largely being replaced by digital communications and the speed of interaction has increased dramatically.
