RWG Mobile announces next-generation services at no extra cost to customers

RWG Mobile has launched Wales’ 5G revolution. The nation’s only dedicated, all-Wales mobile network provider – offering everyday fair pricing and bilingual customer service – has made 5G available to all of its consumers and business customers, at no extra cost.

5G services offer a huge leap forward in speed  – around 20 times that of 4G. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. With 5G, for the first time, a mobile broadband connection can be a genuine alternative for organisations that need the performance of fibre broadband: 5G’s reliable speeds (on average 200 Mbit/s), low network delays and near instant service availability offer many benefits.

RWG’s pay monthly bundles start at just £2 per month, with no contract lock-in. Customers able to commit to a one or two year term can benefit from even greater value, thanks to RWG’s unique SIM-only packages.

Democratising access to 5G services for Welsh businesses and consumers is just the first chapter of RWG’s 5G story. RWG is applying 5G technology to help revolutionise public services, from healthcare to smart cities. For instance with the help of 5G, first responders and GP practices can take high-definition X-ray and ultrasound images at the point of need and receive an ultra-accurate assessment and diagnosis within minutes, powered by Artificial Intelligence from the cloud. This can dramatically reduce the time it takes for a patient to receive treatment and prevents unnecessary hospital admissions.

Andrew Davies, Founder and CEO at RWG Mobile, said: “From improved economic prosperity to greater well-being through healthcare innovations, RWG is set to help Wales grasp the range of benefits created by 5G services. What’s more, with the backbone of the EE network, RWG can reach over 99% of the UK population.”
