Microsoft and Tietoevry accelerate cloud transformation in the Nordics

Microsoft and Tietoevry are reinforcing their strategic collaboration to enable faster and more secure cloud transformation for Nordic enterprises and public sector organisations. The collaboration will combine Microsoft’s cloud platform, Azure, with Tietoevry’s industry and technology expertise to enable innovative solutions and services to customers.

Tietoevry is also exploring Microsoft Artificial Intelligence solutions in driving productivity, innovation and scale in its operations. At the moment, Tietoevry is participating in the Microsoft 365 Copilot Early Adopters programme.

“We are living in an exciting era, where technology plays an ever-increasing role in making people, businesses and societies thrive,” said Kimmo Alkio, President and CEO, Tietoevry. “As a company, we have helped our customers harness the power of technology through several evolution cycles, the latest ones centred around data, cloud and Artificial Intelligence. We already have several live implementations or use cases realisable in the near future on how to fuel the benefits of cloud with AI, for example within healthcare. Combining the best of Microsoft’s and our expertise we can accelerate our customers’ ability to fully embrace the cloud transformation and by this advance the digital competitiveness across the Nordic societies.”

Through strategic collaboration, Microsoft and Tietoevry help customers accelerate their cloud journey, leveraging Microsoft’s global scale, security and reliability of Microsoft Azure and Tietoevry’s local presence, industry knowledge and customer-centricity. The collaboration will also enable customers to benefit from the latest cloud-enabled innovations, such as Artificial Intelligence and advanced data analytics.

“We are thrilled to announce this reinforced strategic collaboration with Tietoevry, a valued and respected partner of Microsoft in the Nordics,” added Joacim Damgard, President, Microsoft Western Europe. “Together, we will enable our customers to harness the power of the cloud, unlocking new opportunities for innovation, growth and resilience in their businesses and organisations.”

Creating value for customers and society

The collaboration will focus on four key areas: modernising and migrating customers’ applications and infrastructure to Microsoft Azure; developing new cloud-native solutions and services; enhancing cloud capabilities and competencies; and driving sustainability and social impact through cloud.

The collaboration will also leverage Microsoft’s and Tietoevry’s existing offerings and partnerships, such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and SAP on Azure. Together the companies have also driven a cloud certification programme for 3,000 Tietoevry professionals, contributing to creating the largest Azure community in the Nordics.
