STACK broadens the positive visibility of the data centre industry and demonstrates its commitment to STEM education and DE&I through its on-going co-operation with the renowned global platform.
STACK Infrastructure has formally announced its partnership with the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society for the second consecutive year. This partnership reinforces STACK’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, sponsoring and taking an active role in the Women’s Forum 2023 Global Meeting on November 28-29 in Paris.
The meeting is a convergence of leaders from various sectors, promoting women’s insights on global issues including sustainable development, the economy, culture and media, with a focus on the professional and educational advancement of women and the fostering of a multicultural and multidisciplinary network.
As a Global Meeting partner, STACK aims to facilitate co-operation between businesses and policymakers to address common challenges and formulate strategies for inclusive growth and equality. John Eland, STACK EMEA Chief Executive Officer, will join global business leaders in a plenary session titled ‘Closing the gap: Innovative solutions for addressing the STEM pipeline problem’ on November 28.
Eland said: “We must actively support and advance diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to unlock innovation and attract and retain women in roles at all levels across the technology industry. We have a responsibility to act as role models and mentors, which we do, in part, by contributing to programs that encourage youth to explore careers in technology.
“By supporting the Women’s Forum, we hope to encourage and attract more women to STACK and to the technology sector as a whole. Our participation in the Global Meeting serves as a complement to our programs across EMEA that focus on education and upskilling in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.”

In 2022, STACK began its collaboration with the Women’s Forum by sponsoring the Tech4Women virtual hackathon, an innovative contest designed to harness technology in advancing gender parity, engaging thousands of global students. STACK is committed to STEM education through partnerships and apprenticeship programs with local schools across EMEA and initiatives like the Go-Tec! STEM lab in Zurich, Switzerland. Their DE&I efforts also include the Women’s Leadership Summit, an annual event in both EMEA and the Americas focusing on empowerment, professional development, leadership, industry trends and networking for women across the organisation.
