Huawei Cloud Summit at MWC26: Solving industry challenges with AI

Huawei Cloud has unveiled its Industry AI Foundry, introduced the next-generation hybrid cloud offering Huawei Cloud Foundation (HCF) and showcased both CodeArts and AgentArts, AI-powered coding agents, for customers across industries to thrive in the AI era at MCW 2026 in Barcelona.

The summit convened leaders from organisations including IDC, KoçSistem, SMSA, Serpro and Nextcloud. With 101 availability zones across 34 regions, Huawei Cloud serves customers in over 170 countries and territories and continues to focus on accelerating Artificial Intelligence adoption and strengthening industry partnerships.

In his opening remarks, Dr Peter Zhou, CEO of Huawei Cloud, emphasised that cloud and Artificial Intelligence stand at the core of Huawei’s strategy, driving steady investment in research and development and innovation. In 2026, Huawei Cloud remains committed to delivering secure, reliable and quality cloud services, unlocking more value for customers and partners.

Industry AI Foundry

In his keynote, Tim Tao, President Huawei Cloud Solution Sales, highlighted a shift in AI from compute to efficiency gains. Huawei Cloud unveiled its strategic blueprint for Industry AI Foundry and launched China’s inaugural smart medical zone. Beyond this, Huawei delivers offerings spanning AI infrastructure, industry-specific models, agent platforms and applications to address industry pain points with AI effectively.

Huawei Cloud Foundation

As digital and intelligent transformation accelerates, a growing number of enterprises are adopting hybrid cloud architectures to modernise IT infrastructure. Hybrid cloud enables organisations to keep core assets on their own premises to meet security and compliance requirements, while leveraging the scalability and services of the public cloud to enhance agility and drive continuous innovation. However, in practice, AI’s rapid iterations are creating a complex new landscape for enterprise cloud migration. HCF is designed to deliver a more open, simplified and resilient hybrid cloud experience for customers worldwide.

Antonony Gu said: “HCF balances security and compliance with operational agility. It helps enterprises manage increasingly complex IT environments and embrace the new AI era. It can serve as a key pathway toward comprehensive digital and intelligent transformation.”

The newly launched HCF delivers three key innovations:

  • Open by design: HCF adopts an innovative, architecture-level decoupling design. It provides a unified certification framework and standardised integration specifications to ensure compatibility with mainstream compute, storage and networking vendors. Meanwhile, it offers open APIs and standardised integration frameworks to ensure compatibility with mainstream software ecosystems, including AI and open-source models.
  • Relentless simplicity: With its one-stop tools, HCF can be deployed rapidly and made ready for immediate use. Automated migration services further reduce the complexity of cloud migration, so customers can move to the cloud with confidence.
  • Ultimate resilience: HCF supports industry-leading, all-scenario disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data security and business continuity. Through automated security protection mechanisms, HCF significantly reduces security setup time and any vulnerabilities can be remediated rapidly. Additionally, a single cluster supports ultra-high bandwidth and ultra-low latency, enabling efficient load balancing and high-performance operations.

To date, Huawei Hybrid Cloud has served more than 5,500 customers across over 160 countries and regions, spanning key industries such as government, telecommunications and finance. Looking ahead, Huawei Hybrid Cloud will continue advancing its “Hybrid Cloud + AI” strategy to drive sustained innovation and strengthen open partnerships.

Huawei Cloud CodeArts

CodeArts is an intelligent coding agent built on years of R&D practices and hundreds of billions of code lines, designed to offer developers an unparalleled intelligent coding experience.

To address issues such as long iteration cycles, expensive and slow inference, low test coverage, high error rates and unauthorised executions, Huawei Cloud CodeArts is dedicated to helping developers improve end-to-end R&D efficiency, multiply development output and enhance team R&D experience.

Efficiency: CodeArts has deeply integrated the AI IDE core, enhancing efficiency by 100 times through autonomous execution and decision-making. What once took 2 hours of manual coding can now be generated by the code agent in just 1 minute. The enterprise-grade R&D knowledge base, embedded within the IDE, offers precise contextual information, making searches and analyses more accurate, faster and cost-effective.

Quality: CodeArts enhances code quality throughout the development process with robust, intelligent protection mechanisms. The spec-driven framework accurately interprets user requirements, increasing the first-pass accuracy of code generation by 50%.

Expertise: Leveraging years of Huawei’s R&D expertise, CodeArts equips developers with eight essential skills, allowing developers to get their hands on easily.

Security: Two methods are employed to ensure the security of code and user data. Generated code remains secure through malicious code detection across multiple languages and strict monitoring and alerting for sensitive operations. Additionally, the principle of least privilege and encrypted transmission ensure secure access and prevent data leaks.

Ecosystem: Huawei Cloud has created an open capability platform and collaborates with partners to foster an ecosystem by integrating industry-leading models, enabling access to third-party models and incremental training and implementing a four-layer extension mechanism (MCP, skills, agents and subagents).

Huawei Cloud AgentArts

AgentArts is a one-stop enterprise-level intelligent agent development platform. It significantly reduces the barriers to entry and empowers enterprises to swiftly develop a wide range of AI applications, from basic assistants to intricate service workflows.

Agents can be created using natural language, doubling development efficiency. AgentArts supports single-agent tasks, workflows and collaborative multi-agent operations. The platform integrates with enterprise-grade knowledge bases, enabling searches across various sources and modalities. This results in answers with an 85% accuracy rate.

The zero-trust security model and one-click setup for popular frameworks like Dify and LangChain enhance agent intelligence through precise context engineering. This approach reduces TCO by 30% and maximizes the utilisation of existing assets via seamless migration to MCP tools.
