WPP and Kyndryl expand AI partnership to drive business transformation

WPP, a British multinational advertising, marketing and communications company, and technology services provider Kyndryl have expanded their strategic partnership to accelerate AI adoption, modernise business systems and strengthen marketing capabilities.

The agreement will see Kyndryl help transform WPP’s technology infrastructure through AI-powered operations, simplified platforms and improved IT support.

Dominic Shine, Chief Information Officer at WPP, said the collaboration represents a shift towards shared business objectives.

“This partnership redefines the traditional customer-supplier relationship. Kyndryl will help WPP accelerate enterprise transformation through AI-enabled operations, platform modernisation and a simpler technology landscape, while WPP will support Kyndryl’s growth through an expanded marketing partnership and joint go-to-market innovation.”

He added that both organisations were investing in shared success, trust and long-term value creation.

The partnership supports WPP’s Elevate28 strategy, which aims to create a more integrated, efficient and AI-powered organisation.

Kyndryl will deploy its Agentic AI Framework to streamline applications, accelerate issue resolution and reduce technical complexity across WPP’s operations.

Meanwhile, WPP has been appointed Kyndryl’s preferred global marketing partner, extending its responsibilities across digital, experiential and integrated marketing services.

The companies will also pursue joint opportunities to help clients modernise operations and improve customer engagement through AI and emerging technologies.
